Bancroft Bridals opened it's doors in 1987. It is a family owned and operated business. Paul and Paula Delskey opened Bancroft's with the image of one-stop shopping for today's busy couples. Having bridal gowns, maids, and accessories, plus tuxedoes, custom wedding videos, and referrals of top wedding related business all under one roof- it would be a wonderful aspect for today's bride. After 21 years, the image is still a wonderful thing for engaged couples. The name "Bancroft" came from Paula's mother, Althea Bancroft Estes. Althea was the original store manager. Althea's experience came from managing the former Steiger's Bridal Salon in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. Her image was to see that all brides have an extraordinary experience by fulfilling their needs with wonderful service and quality merchandise. Today, the boutique is managed by Paul's daughter Tara. Tara has been with business since s he was a tee nager. Today they still strive on carry on the image Althea had, having happy brides.
